I bought my J back in August 05 and it only had 46,000 miles on it at the time. It has 55,000 now and rides niiiiccceeee! The Bose head unit went out, so I bought/installed a Jensen VM9020TS DVD/TV/CD/SD/Tuner w/ 2 remotes, kidzone and 6.5" touchscreen from eBay to replace it. It sounds sooo much better than the Bose unit and clearly provides more options.
I just got two 8" headrest monitors from eBay today and did the install myself. Check it out!

I bought some 18" SSW-001 rims with Nexen 225-45-18 tires to replace the stock wheels.
I was in a car accident on 1/7/06 and as a result my hood, bumper, tie rod, and a couple other minor parts were replaced and the car looks and runs better now than before! I also added a K&N filter and Silver Star high/low beams.
These pics are from when I first bought the car last August.

Here is a view of the receiver in TV mode. The reception is pretty good on it and gets GREAT the closer I get to downtown Chicago. Now that I have the headrest LCDs I can watch TV in the front and play a DVD in the back at the same time!

This is DVD mode. I have the option of installing a surround sound module and speakers for 5.1, but doubt I'll go that far. I'm Rick James!
As you can see, this is not a flip-up unit. The screen motors down to expose the CD/DVD and SD card slots and closes back. The screen is adjustable to compensate for the glare from the sun. I'll probably add a nav unit next!

Here is the SD mode. THere is a random option so all the songs won't play in the same order all the time. I can also view pics saved on the memory card.

Here are the remotes. The larger remote controls the entire system, while the smaller one is called the Kids Zone remote. When I install headrest monitors whatever is being played on those screens will be controlled by it.
Here's a side view of the car. You can see the 18" wheels I added just before Christmas.

I'll try to take more interior pics soon and get some better daytime exterior pics. There aren't any other mods, it's just very clean for a '93. The next improvements I'll be making are to install a navigation system and a OEM spoiler. I may add an automatic start if I can find a good deal on one. Up to this point I've done all the mods myself. The auto start will probably have to be professionally done. A guy I was talking to the other day told me I could get an HID conversion for about $200, but I might pass on that! I'll need more research and information before I do it. If you have comments or suggestions about my car let me know!
