This is a real JDM Honda Integra Type R DC2 in Japan. I am living in Tokyo and I bought this car at a used car auction. So far it is pretty stock. This is the way I like it though. Honda engineers spent a lot of time tuning the DC2 SiR Integra into the Type R and there is a lot to be enjoyed in driving a Honda Type R as stock as possible.
Of course some modifications and tuning is necessary to make the car respond better and more reliable. I chose Ohlins suspension for its very accurate and responsive handling for winding roads and the track and still return a good deal of comfort without upseting the car in town unlike some Japanese made coilovers which bounce a lot.
Other mods will be plainly bolt on stuff. Like air filters and I plan to use the original airbox which is actually the best compromise of power/torque and fuel economy. But some modifications are made to the pipes to lessen restriction. I will not be touching the engine itself or the ECU. Other mods will be on cooling and reliability items like the Spoon oilpan and oil pump.
