Having some fun with Paint-------------------------------->
And for real
General:
Hi, this is my 1990 Saab 9000CDi. I bought it several months ago, approx. 7/10/05 with a no start condition. It turns out it just needed a DI cassette. I found one used for $150 and installed it. The car started right up. A couple of months later the alternator bearing siezed on me. Very fun repair (sarcastic). Since then, I've only had to feed it gas. It's a very fun car and it handles pretty well. I haven't topped it out or anything like that but at 80mph, it just cruises. I'm not planning on modding it at all because I would really like to find a hatchback. The only thing that's not stock is the CD player, which was replaced because the previous owner didn't like the Clarion.
Update 9/25/06: Not much has changed, I've added a Black DI now, not much difference. I can't wait for the crappy rubber to wear down. It seems to be taking forever for them to lose thread. I'm now going thru 142k, so I've put 10k since I got it. Still wish it was a turbo, but DAMN!!!, this thing is way too reliable. Besides normal maintenance, all I've done is replace a torn CV boot and replace the rear calipers.
Update 6/29/07- She died to save my life friday, june 29, 2007 when someone swerved across 4 lanes and made me lose control.
