One of my many actual hitch covers
2000 Dodge Durango
For the first two years, I kept everything pretty much stock. Then I installed a DvD in the ceiling & a TV w/ FM modulator. The screen itself actually folds down directly in front of my rear view mirror. So you gotta watch for cops. All the other features too: IR head phones, remote for DvD/TV, etc. I also had a power plug & A/V ports installed in the back of my console. You can hook just about anything up to it. Right now I have a PS2 that fits perfectly & works great. Sometimes there's up to 4 people playing a game at once!
Then I had a new Magnaflow exhaust installed that really added some power. I did not want an obscenely loud one, just a manly grumble (I shouldn't have said that). Originally, I opted for the single exhaust since the back bumper has a small ridge on the stock side. Othwerwise dual exhaust would look cool, but the ridge (or cut-out) would be more prominent & visable on the one side. But, Eventually I bought a new bumper that had two ports already in it so it was time for dual. I highly reccomend Jay's Kusotm Exhaust in Novato, Ca if you need work done. He's the best!!
I have done a lot to my Durango in the past year. I have added: Nerf bars, Bilstein shocks, a new smaller PS2, new tail lights, new bezel for my gauges, Nu Image Flame gauges, Pioneer AVIC-N2 w/ GPS/DvD/Voice Commands/Rear Camera/XM Radio, Window vents, .44 Magnum shifter, Viper alarm. Just to name a few
The Pioneer unit is awesome! It has up-to-date traffic info- alerting you while en-route or before you start. So you can attempt to avoid stopped traffic- even police check points (I kid you not). It is all touch screen, allowing you to control everything (even you equalizer settings) with ease. It is very easy to change the background as well to just about anything.
I never listened to my radio before- in any car- until I had the XM. The DvD's are cool to watch since you can touch the screen to control everything.
The GPS is cool since it had everything you could want: resturaunts, ATM, hotels, malls, movie theaters, etc.
Being able to select what types of traffic or areas to avoid is also a plus.
All components work while you drive.
