From Failure to Triumph!!!
Okay, so... earlier I was telling you about the headers sitting on my floor, chillin'. Well, I found some time to put them on (apparently the time was under the box. Mom always said I should move things around when I'm searching for stuff you never know what's under something). So WA-BAMM!!! The first attempt at install failed. ONE BOLT had seized up and the damn thing wasn't coming off. I went through six saw blades. So, I took it up to the shop and had them replace my tail pipe all the way back to the muffler! No resonators, no nothing, just cat, then pipe.
A Week or so later I tried a second time, and realized the lazy bastards at the shop cut the old pipe and welded the new resonator-less pipe to it, so the SAME F'IN BOLT was still there holding the process up. So I took the car to a different shop and had him cut the blots off, and drove it 30 mins back to the garage with the damn thing rattling around.
So, I'm under the car, for the third time, and everything is bolted up and... DAMMIT!!! I'm about two and a half inches short, plus the flanges are different sizes. So I had to bolt up the old exhaust system AGAIN and have a piece made to go between the two. GRRRR!!!!!
Finally, I get the piece made (I hate that shops are closed on Sunday), and heavenly noise is now coming from my CAT-LESS exhaust. Thanks Megan for teaching me about exhaust systems!!!
Here are some pictures for you all:
