1976 HX Holden Sandman

Here are a few pictures of my sandman, it is an original HX 1976. It currently has the standard 14 inch wheels and tyres, I'am considering upgrading them to billet or boyd coddington wheels and keeping the originals in the shed for shows.

It originally was released with a 308 trimatic and has been converted to a fuel injected 5L and a turbo 700 gearbox.As you can see the engine covers have been colour coded to match the paint, and all the wires have been hidden.


It has Monaro interior, which I will soon reupholster back to the original sandman interior ( maybe in leather, not vinyl). It has a digital dash, custom fitted in the original housing. I have removed and cleaned all the pieces of the dash to pristine condition.


I have many things in mind to follow through with the traditional sandman theme and also introduce some modern aspects. I will update my page as the restoration begins.
