Restoration after the accident
About a week and a half ago me and my friend Ben were headed to a car show in metro detroit. The traffic was insane and the construction made basic driving difficult. To make a long story short, a stupid woman slammed on her brakes in front of me. I tried to stop and swerve out of the way. I did not hit her but the car behind be rearended me. It just so happens that the car behind me was my good friend Ben(Pheonix_rising)with his girlfriend . As you can see from the pictures, Ben took the brunt of the damage. This was a learning expirience in many ways for both of us. Luckily none of us were seriously hurt and the cars took only minor damage compared to what would expected from an expressway accident. Both me and Ben are in the initial stages of rebuilding our cars. Mine will be more affordable compared to Bens's. Ben is taking the opportunity to not only rebuild but uprgade. He has plans in the works for a full T/A body conversion on his '97 firebird. He is looking at around $500 for parts if not more and money for paint since my dad is a body man and has agreed to help us out with the paint and body work.
The following pictures are of both cars before and after the accident:
