Hey rotospridget!, i love that conversion concept. My sprite engine swap was done in the sixties and if i were to do a swap on the 00' i would definitely do a rotary. but as you can probably see from ahsprite62, thats me, i kinda inherited it the way it is, so i cant really complain. i was thinking about building a turbo mani and hooking up my inline6. As i can see, you just need some paint and your finished. All i really need is a good paint job too! and of course some time to put all the resto parts that are sitting around. I did a little bit of butchering myself, but only to accommodate the rims; besides if you didnt notice the bugeyes have round rear fenders and well i kinda like that look. Once i get my minilite rims, it will look better. What do you think about my project? -b

Great ride. You just can't get to much power. That should be a great combo. Had a RX4. And when it hit it's sweet spot it would really go. Good Luck . Take a look at my car & drop a line or 2.

Hey Gavin, from one butcher to another, i think it kicks A$$. I had a 67 sprite when I was alot younger and always wanted to do something similar but never seemed to have money, time or knowledge to pull something like that off. I know what you mean by having the purists after you for cutting up an original, but I'm sure it's a hell of alot more fun now than it was with the original boat anchor under the bonnet :-D I hotrodded my t-bird and those purist guys would probably like to skin me alive, but you know what ? if they are chasing me in there all original cars, they'll never be able to catch me haha. Love you car, Richard
