The 1971 442 hard top was kinda a rare car. They only produced around 6,300 units total. And about 1,300 convertables. I did a frame up restoration on this car. The frame is boxed and completely braced and powder coated. Full Hotchkiss suspension with 3" lowering springs and 1 1/2" front 1" rear sway bars. Front and rear Bear disks. Quick ratio steering sector. Polyurethane bushings on everything, including body bushings.

Solid engine mounts and transmission mount with custom crossmember. 3.73 gears with Powertrax locker. Koni 4 way adjustable shocks on all corners. This car handles like a C-6! It's AWESOME!!! The only thing I regret is not installing a cage. That can be next year!:)kawzracn442's 1971 Oldsmobile 442

I filled all of the marker lights and trunk emblem holes. Also the hood had the stock aluminum louvers which were filled when I installed the scoop.

I first have to say Bravo Zulu! In Navy terms that means outstanding job. You really, and I mean really out-did yourself on this on. Its beautiful at the same time "I'll smoke yo' ass" Masculine. Im in the process of restoring my 71 also and it's finally getting on its way. The colors look great also. Nice choice. I've been contemplating a "somewhat" similar style but in no way the same check it out sometime I've got a pic of it and explanations of the style on my page. Last and not least, I must Congratulate you on your getting Married to your Lovely Wife, and perfect timing too. You two enjoy yourselves in that Great Machine of yours. Take it easy bra!
