This is my new 4" cowl hood from Carhoods.com, it is gel-coated top and bottom
I cut two openings that measures 2" x 12", see photo which will explain what is meant by two openings, there is a 9" void.
The reason the opening is small is I want to mount two gauges in the fiberglass on the windshield side, a fuel pressure gauge and a boost gauge for a future mod.
I threw on a spare 3" filter (temporary) I had laying around to get some extra air now that I have the room.
The hood is high quality and has a 7/8" edge on the sides.
The fit is perfect with no high or low spots, I haven't seen a fiberglass hood this big fit so well.
The cowl has a edge on it that could be trimmed down but I'm leaving it alone for now. I would highly recommend this hood to anyone who wants a bolt on fiberglass hood with a show quality underside.
