This is my 1986 Z28 that I have been restoring for 2 years now. When I got the car it had a worn out 305 TPI that we replaced with a 350 bored 40 over with a Comp 498/480 lift cam, Bowtie phase 2 angle plug heads, and a 125 shot of nitrous. The best I can figure from desktop dyno it has 450 flywheel HP. The car came with a 2.73 open diff rear end. Why do they waste their time with a gear like that when it has over drive? So I put a 3.73 posi in that I bought for $250 and it amazingly still works for now. So now instead of igniting one tire it ignites two. I fear that when I get the heads ported and launch it with slicks and nitrous it will not be long lived. So I am looking for a currie 9 inch for it. I have resently gone to the track on my street tires and cut 12.95 all night and the last pass was a 12.87. With the slicks it should go in the 12.50's. Go to page 6 for the new story?
