Since this is my first car and im only 14 i didnt have alot of money to spend on a car so when this brown peice of metal came into my sights we drove to G.A. to look at it. it dosnt look so bad with the hood open kinda It looks like it was hit in the driver side fender well and then rolled on to its side. The transfer case was split in to three peices and the axle is bent a little. after two weeks of it sitting up in G.A. we drove up there to pick it up. Let me tell you driving 18 hours on a saturday isnt the best thing to do.
Finally after sitting for two weeks we got to start taking it apart first we took off the bad fenders after we took the fenders we found ou that the frame was bent and lucky it isnt to bad so we can atleast sraighten it then we took all the interor out and part of the roll cage after all that i finally got my busted up transfer case out After we got the fender and other things off we noticed that the frame was bent so we took it the ferman a local dealer/bodyshop where they measered to see how far it was off and bend it back in to shape. But after trying to measure it they couldnt cause it was so far off So we began to get ready to change the frame so we took the body off the frame by hooking ratchet straps to the garage truss we have know taken all the parts off the old frame and have replaced it with a frame from and 05 wrecked jeep thats frame was srtaightingable. we got an axle that is also from an 05 that has 10 miles on it were putting my ring and pinion in it so the gearing is right with the back witch is 3.73 we got the body back on the frame an began to get the body ready to be pulled mine next to my dads We then began to pull out the body the winch off my dads jeep was our tool of choice along with a porta-power after that we then pulled the body back off to put the drive train back in > ONE OF MY FAVORITE PICTURES after putting the body back on we went to start it and it just sat and turned no fired well until we spread ether and then it lituraly cought on fire anyway we dropped the tank and got a new fuel pump assembly and it started with no problem after that we straightened the windshield and bent the hood to sit on the jeep somewhat and got the doors to fit then we started the body work then we had to paint over the bondo so we used some extra from my dads
More to come as project contues 4 in pro comp lift 33 bfg's flat fenders this is my dads tj that has a 5.5re and a 1 in body with 37in BFG Krawlers and Walker Evan Beadlocks Visit my photo bucket for all the rides http://photobucket.com/albums/f228/Wheelin352/
