This is my 1998 Honda Prelude Type SH. It is being built to be fun to drive, with an emphasis on improved handling. So far, only suspension mods have been performed on the car.
Tein Flex suspension was chosen because its a full bodied coilover, has higher spring rates over lesser models, and includes pillowball mounts. Tanabe under body braces, front and rear were installed to help keep flex under the car to a minimum.
This is my second Prelude, and third car. The first Prelude was a 4th gen with minor suspension mods. The other car was a 1992 Nissan 240sx, which was project 240sr on www.NissanPerformanceMag.com. More information on that build can be found here: Nissan Performance Mag - Project 240sr
This car received a blacktop SR20DET swap, Greddy FMIC, 3 inch downpipe, 255 LPH fuel pump, ACT clutch kit, B&M short shifter, and rs*r exmag exhaust.
While the 240 was fun to drive, I missed the way my old Prelude drove as an overall package (and lets not forget about the air conditioning), so I decided to sell it and look for another Honda. I came across the current Prelude and picked it up, and am slowly building it to be a daily driver that can also hold its own as a weekend auto-x/occasional track car.
