My car was lucky enough to be chosen as the car of the week at My Classic Car. Kinda cool I think. Just cut and paste the link to be taken to the page.

The rims are finally done and are back on the car it took almost 5 months to get them back but I think they look pretty good. I have installed the Tokico struts and springs and heavier sway bars.

I purchased my Z about a year and a half ago. Ever since I was a kid I wanted a Z car. I put that dream on hold for quite a while and got into Volkswagen Beetles. Through working on these "fairly simple" cars I gained alot of car buddies and learned what was needed to build a car (mainly alot of work). After 3 years countless engine rebuilds and lots of street light to streetlight races I figured the Beetle had more than proved its mettle, and I begrudgingly sold her with plans to purchase another, but alas that never happened.

Almost 6 years ago I met my wife (she wasnt my wife then but is now). And who could have guessed it, but hidden the the garage of one of her families farm houses was a 1977 280Z. It was her brothers car, I dropped many hints that I would like to buy the car from him on many occasions but he did not want to sell. But this was what I needed to re-fuel my want for a Z car. So the search began the internet and old car traders helped, after 3-4 months of searching I had found just about every car I could'nt afford and was close to giving up and had even gone to look at a couple of Beetles. Then I was looking at the auto trader online and there was my Z car (with low kms) I didnt have enough money saved but my wife said just go get the car and the guy I was buying it from gave me a good deal and we made it happen.

After I got the car home all I could really afford to do was clean, but on the bright side there was alot of it to do, alot of small repairs and just things out of place, by the end of the summer the car looked pretty good. Now it was time to start buying parts. At least I had the advantage of one year of planning under my belt and knew exactly what I wanted. And besides who doesnt like buying car parts
