Mark II convertible "refreshing" of 2006
I've put 9,000 miles on this car since the Spring of 2003. It looked its very best at the LCOC national meet and at the Ford Centennial Celebration. Since then we've driven the car to northern Michigan for the Bay Harbor Concours, to Cincinnatti, OH for the Ault Park Concours, to Dayton, OH to the Glenmoor Gathering twice and various road tours for LCOC and Concours events.
It started to show some of the road bruises and owner induced damage. I'm probably the only one who noticed most of the flaws but I know they are there.
Bit's of tape mark all the flaws. The trunklid needed to be removed to gain access to the metal boot mechanism.

There is a very strange bit of damage that I can't account for. I thought I had two severe rust bubbles starting above the passender side wheel arch. With the convertible hatch open you can see all the way into this area and there's no rust.
If you reach up into the fender well there are corresponding dents in the inner layer of sheetmetal but I can't figure out how they got there.
The steering wheel ha a small crack in it and the paint has gotten gooey so they are refinishing it

Whoever restored the window mechanism in '93 kinda cheated and threw in a wad of epoxy instead of fixing a couple of broken spot welds. When the glass came loose it shifted and broke the edge of the glass and developed a crack.
Can you believe how organized everything is?

Spring photo shoot. Final results.

White room studio. Very disconcerting driving in a room that has no corners.
