**Note to Cardomain.com users**
I am losing faith in you cardomain.com users. I have this car in here for performance ratings primarily (because I have chosen to leave it LOOKING stock because it is such a RARE CAR and I don't believe in destroying collector cars), and I am seeing it rated at 3.5 stars right now. Are you kidding me? Do people out there rating cars know ANYTHING about cars?

If you spend 5 minutes reading my page about this car, you will see that EVERY performance-related part of this car has been upgraded.

New Wilwood 6-piston RACING brakes, NEW Moser free-floating axles, NEW Torsen Diff, T-56 tranny (best GM has) w/ 6-speed short-throw Hurst shifter, new Canton extra capacity oil pan, oil-cooler, Power Steering fluid cooler, Fully adjustable Coil-over conversion w/Koni adjustable shocks that replaced the stock strut suspension, Global West Short Upper A-Arms, MSD Wires, Aluminum Drievshaft, Heavy Duty timing chain, SLP Panhard Bar, Kumho Ecsta Supra Z-rated Super-performance tires, Shock tower brace, K&N Ram-Air Filter, LT-4 350 conversion done BY LINGENFELTER, headers, SLP Loudmouth Exhaust, Dyno-tuning for best possible performance, nothing but Royal-Purple fluids and Mobil-1 Synthetic Oil has ever touched this car.

In 1995 this came out of the factory as the fastest production car available. This thing will smoke ANYTHING coming out of a factory that costs less that $80,000 - including LS-1 'vettes (The Z06 is still a bit too fast, but not by much), Mustang Cobras, and anything imported, including your 300zx, 350Z and Subaru WRX (the NEW STi will give it a run for it's money, but is TURBO'd and 11 years newer technology). I'm putting 350hp & 400 lb/ft to the TIRES (about 400hp at the crank).

In fact, the only thing left to do to this car is Supercharge it, and until a sponsor picks me up or I get the $5000.00 I need to purchase one, it isn't getting done.

However, I have to ask - if this car is a 3.5 star car in the performance field, then WHAT IS A 5? A farm tractor that will run 9's in the quarter-mile?

****************************************************************

This is my 1995 Firehawk, #96 of 671 made that year. Considering the factory options, there are no more than 2 others like this one in existence. After the engine and suspension mods, it is a one-of-a-kind. This thing is pushin about 350hp and 400lb/ft at the wheels, and it's fast as hell.

0-60 times should be under 4.9 seconds (more like 4.5-4.7 depending on driver), although I havent really tested that yet.

The theoretical top speed based on hp and gearing is 186mph (also haven't been above 130mph yet). All I know is, if traffic isn't moving over 90mph, then I can't even USE 6th gear because my RPMs are around 1500 at that point.

One of my favorite cars were the Firehawks. I only like ZR-1 vettes better or else I would have looked for a Firehawk. You sure deserve better then 3.5*, I'll give you 5*. Come over check out my ZR-1.It deserves to be on your list of fastest cars.

Your rankings at cardomain will remain low because ricer vote spammers go around and vote down any american made muscle car, while voting 5s for all rice. Mine was solid 5 for a year before these vote wars, and went down to 4 in a few weeks. cardomain has apparently no policy against this.
