This is my 2006 Pontiac GTO I got it brand new 12/2/05 (a day after my 19th birthday), from the Stowasser dealership in Santa Maria, California. Impulse Blue Metallic with black leather, 18" wheels (I switched them to 17" wheels) and a 6 speed transmission. It is 1 of 252 GTO's made with these options from the factory(now those options have been changed for the better by me). This was a fun and exciting time in my life, really going after a car I had a deep desire for, and working hard to afford it, this was probably when work was most rewarded for me so far in life. I have put a lot of hard work and hard-earned money into this car. It is truly one of my most favorite things, and with extensive research and overcoming frustrations throughout, I have been able to make this car my dream machine. Also, this car will be even more desirable as time passes, because it was the last year of production for the GTO, and Pontiacs are no longer going to be produced. I honestly wouldn't trade this car for anything and I am pretty much 100% happy with it. Enjoy! and please rate my ride and sign my guestbook, thank you and have a great day.
The GTO is equipped with the LS2 6.0 liter engine, pretty big.
Here are a few pictures of the shifter, six gears of goodness. Equipped with a Hurst shifter, Royal Purple transmission fluid, and Valvoline Synpower in the aftermarket LS7 clutch kit. All to provide for smoother shifting.
Here's a few pictures of the back, it has a full JBA stainless catback exhaust, with JBA mufflers and tips, it is one nice sounding Goat! Hopefully I will be able to post a video of the exhaust sound soon. Noltec rear camber bushings and BMR drag bags have been installed as well, along with Royal Purple differntial fluid in the new Harrop cover. Lastly out back, is the 3.91 gears, this really seemed to make the biggest difference. The acceleration is simply unbelievable. Also notice the new style tail-lights for the 06' model, I like them compared to the previous ones that were just all red, and I also put on a chrome GTO license plate frame and stainless steel lettering inserts.
Here are a few more cool shots of the GTO. As you can see I also got the windows tinted, limo for the back half, and the windows in the rear. Had to take the the driver's and passenger's side window tint off after getting a fix-it ticket, dumb California laws!
Here's a few pictures of the front of my car, with the Trex billet grill. The functional hood scoops are a nice addition. I also have added projector headlights with chrome housings, and the SAP grill inserts. These inserts were originally offered as a factory option in the special "Sport Appearance Package" for the GTO. I feel they make the car look more fierce and really bring home the attitude of the vehicle as a whole. The suspension has also been upgraded with parts from Pedder's, such as: radius rod bushings, strut bearings, and bushings.
Check out that hood! I also removed these plastic pieces on the inside of the hood that restricted the scoops airflow by a good amount. Now my scoops are more open and let in more air, which is even better.
Here are some pictures of my tires. I have the Nitto 555's tires on my GTO 245/17/45 up front (stock tire size). Then 275/40/17 in the back. I decided to keep the stock wheels.
This is what it is all about, the LS2, 400HP/400tq, and that's stock! I am also running Royal Purple oil in it. It redlines at 6,500 RPM. Here are some pictures displaying the ultimate part of the GTO. In these photos you can see my K&N Aircharger intake system, Vector HSRK, SLP pulley, Optima Battery, JBA shorty headers, custom billet oil cap, BMR strut tower brace, and Elite Engineering Catch can. I also replaced the stock skidplate with a much lighter and open (doesn't trap heat) SLP skidplate. I also have the 455 Bobcat tune made by the SLP version of the Diablo Predator. This thing hauls buns!
Here are some pictures of my interior and trunk. GTO is stitched into both passenger and driver's seats. Also, I upgraded to Lloyd mats they are much nicer than stock. The last picture is of my Aeroforce Interceptor gauges. They are a pretty cool addition to th e car, because they can keep track of just about any parameter from HP to intake tempature.
Here are a few pictures showing some of the decals I have added to my car to give it a personalized touch, they are all in metallic silver. I have GTO displayed on the rocker panels right by the rear tires. Then LS2 on one side of the hood, and the 6.0 Litre on the other. I especially like these two decals because it lets people know what is under the hood, and it is somewhat of a throw back to retro years when more decals of this nature were displayed on cars. The last pic is of my angry goat decals on my rear windows, I thought these were pretty cool, and if I ever do get tired of them they will be easy to remove because they are on glass.
Here is a picture of my car at the 7th Annual Dave Dana memorial car show, here in my town of Nipomo, California. This was when the GTO was a youngin' (well, it's not super old yet but you get the point haha). The engine was stock at the time, just had the K&N drop-in filter. As you can see it had the stock tires, grill, grill inserts, and lights on as well. I entered it in for "Best New Model Car," but didn't end up winning top honors, but this year I think I got what it takes to bring home the award. We will see come this October, thanks again for viewing my beautiful car.
Well that is my GTO, tell me what you think in my guest book, thank you.
