Page One: Introduction and Initial Pictures (2 Dec 05)

This page was previously devoted to my 2000 S-10 Xtreme. I still have it, and its still on this page, but now I have a REAL project. Thanks to animl (my new hero) on the SGCOG forum, I now have a 1979 Z-28 Project car.

The car is in Arizona, and I'm currently stationed in Texas, however, thanks to one of my best friends and his brother, I was able to pick up this car in Mesa AZ. Thanks to my mother and papa-in-law I have a place store it until I get back next year. Yes people, I'm one of the lucky few who have AWESOME "in-laws." From what I understand from the people who have SEEN the car, it needs work. That's perfect for me! I think of it as a clean slate.

My current idea is to go with an all black interior. I would like to get seats out of a 4th Gen Firebird. I would like to paint the whole car Victory Red and use stripes like those on the 35th Anniversary SS Camaro.

Below are pics of the car as posted on animl's website. Tim should be sending me some pictures from pickup and I'll have those posted ASAP.

Below are interior shots. From these it doesn't look THAT bad. Hopefully I can sell off a few of the parts.

And the wheels, although my friend said they are slightly different than the pic:

For paint, I would go with the Victory Red with the Z stripes. I'm kind of partial to them and think SS Stripes are are over done(even though the 35th anniversary ones are a little different with the checked flag effect).
