Detailed AE Mod Write-up

1. Remove headlights by taking off the two bolts and unfastening clips

2. Remove 3 screws & one post that is next to the signal (like pic)

3. Put the headlight on top of a really wet towel on a baking sheet or anything similar & preheat your oven to 250 degrees

4. Put the headlight facedown on the towel and place in oven at 250 degrees for 10 Minutes to loosen up the glue (Set timer if you have one)

5. After baking for 10 minutes, remove headlights (will be really hot) and using a flat head try to loosen up the tabs and the edges around headlight (BE PATIENT) & then pop it back into the oven again at 250 degrees for another 10 minutes.

6. After 10 minutes remove headlight and the headlight should come apart pretty easily using the flat head (BE PATIENT)

7. Once the lens is apart, you will notice two screws holding the chrome piece to the front lens, unscrew the 2 screws

8. After unscrewing the 2 screws take the chrome piece off the front lens (be careful, take you time because it might be a little tight)

9. Now that you have the chrome piece apart, use a cloth soaked in warm water and start rubbing the chrome and you will notice that the chrome will just rub right off (make sure you don't get water into the signal reflector) Water might take more time so some people have suggested using plastic polish..ie PlastX to rub of the chrome faster.

10. After rubbing off the chrome this is what it should look like (you could even take out more chrome than I did)

11. Screw the chrome piece back onto the front lens and put both the front and back piece of the headlight back onto the wet towel/baking sheet and back into the oven at 250 degrees for 10 to 14 minutes (or until the glue is soft) Once the glue is ready, take the headlight out of the oven and put the two parts back together making sure to resecure all the tabs

12. (this step is optional) I had a yellow haze on top of the headlights and some scruff marks on the front. I used some type of scratch remover and I polished the haze and scruff marks out

Hi there. I'm fairly new to this site. I'm loving the community here, so I want to contribute to everyone this article I read that really changed my life financially. Last week I got a check for $900! Really, no joke, I thought I couldn't do it myself, but I did. And it really helped me out my family financially because i'm a stay at home mom. But here's the article I read: http://www.news4show.com/finance/google-hiring-you.html hopefully it works out for you too. Good luck and God bless!
