Nice Austin 1100, Cole. That car is getting rare by the day now. Good job on the engine. Very thorough and complete. Are parts for that car still available there? Keep up the good work. It's gonna be a real nice classic when it's done. By the way, was that a red Toyopet I saw in your 2nd page? Nice!!!

Hi Cole, thanks for the message. You certainly have a lot more interesting pictures of your 1100 on here than I do! Looks like you did a pretty thorough job on that engine, I bet it runs nice now? Do you have much history on your car? Was it imported specially or was it sold in Canada? I bet you have fun keeping the rust at bay with your climate?!?

I do have a load more pictures of my 1100, although I'll have to scan them into my pc. I owned the car when I was 17 in 1984, and we eventually sold it in 1999. It had been in my family for over 30yrs, and of course I regret selling it now! Over time I did loads of stuff to my car. It was my mums before I "owned" it although it was always sort of hers really. I did 2 gearbox changes (manual boxes), head gasket and changed a burnt valve, brakes, exhaust, painted everything underneath, fitted variour radios to the car while I was at school, tried for years to keep the rust out of the body. I even fitted 4 second hand doors which were originally about the same colour as your car, so I resprayed them in my garage. I think they turned out ok, even if I was using aerosols.

I'll try and put some more pictures up soon.

Andy
