I just bought this car in march 2005, I had a 1988 Honda civic i totally re-did and i had originally only bought this neon cuz i got a good deal on it. I am planning on building a sharp looking and reasonably fast car for as cheap as possible.I research and do all my own work to my cars, I dont believe in paying someone else to. I've always been a Honda guy, but i thought it would be neat to do up a neon, plus where i live there is beginning to be too many honda civics. Around my area if u do something unique to ur car, a week later u start to notice it done to everyone elses.I havent had too much time to work on it as im living in ottawa and going to school.
When i first bought it, it had those wimpy looking bubble hubcaps, those had to go.I put newer 15 inch neon rims for now. 
Here is a shot of the motor when i first bought the car, while installing my strut tower brace. What a mess, the guy who owned it obviously never cleaned it. I have a sand blaster and plan on blasting the valve cover and a few other parts and then repainting them.
U can see in this picture, the ugly orange bumper lights and the really really badly weathered headlights.
I purchased some lower clear bumper lights and buffed the shit out of the headlights for now, would later like some projectors.
