No longer have the car, but I'm leaving it up just in case anybody wants to know

This car didn't run for 3 months because it had no fuel in the gas tank. Anyhow, I learn a lot and was able to get it purring like a kitten. Now it doesn't run and I don't know what to do. I can't really work on it since its always zub zero outside. I was thinking about lighting it on fire and throwing a party. I like the car, but this is just too much
I bought this Quantum at an auction last fall for 50 bucks. Pretty good deal huh? (maybe, I wasted around 1200 dollars trying to get it running.)

Note: I just totalled my cousin's Jeep Grand Cherokee so I probably won't be driving for some time because of the money involved; so screw fixing cars, I'll embrace my tree hugger side for now

Put in my Sony Xplod head publik_skoold's 1986 Volkswagen Quantum
unit from my '84 mustang; it
sounds wimpy with the
stock speakers though.

publik_skoold's 1986 Volkswagen Quantum This is the 5 banger. kicks out 110 horses, which is better than anything else i'm use to.

I love the interior though. It also comes with heated mirrors, cruise, summer wheels (you can see one on the back in the picture), electric sunroof, sporty suspension system (at least it feels like it), and a boot that expands from center console in the rear that holds skis! I'm no skier, but maybe I could fit some 2 by 4s in there...I should get some more pics.

and thats about all there is to this car because nobody knows these cars exist--I didn't. ***The More You Know***

Don't burn it. If I had any way of shiping it I would buy it and put the motor from our in to it. My older brother wrecked ours. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/342565

Hey if you still have that saab in your yard and it only goes into 4th and reverse, it sounds to me like the rubber shiftrod coupler is spererated. if it definetly is mechanical, welcome to the club, because there are more engines than trannys around.

Thats cool; where are you from? My sister has been going to that fine arts festival for eternity. Anyways, I love the car but I was almost about to torch it because it died on me again and now I have wait and tow it over to a garage that a mechanic friend has...

i didn't realize that you live in Alaska. I go to fairbanks every year in the summer for 2 weeks for the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival, and then go to Anchorage for a week or two. i remember seeing an old quantum there once, but not sure if it was yours or not.
