DaFunkota's 1998 Dodge DakotaThis is my 98 Dodge Dakota V6 with auto tranny, short bed and 2WD.

DaFunkota's 1998 Dodge DakotaThis is how I got her about a year ago. She came with a rear split exhaust and a dynomax super turbo muffler. Also there is an accel ignition coil installed.

DaFunkota's 1998 Dodge Dakota She also came with Westin nerf bars

Overall she is in a rather poor condition. The paint has a couple of scratches and there are a few dents.
There is some rust. Almost every bolt is rusted and every single one is a challenge to get out.

A lot of work is lying ahead of me....let's tackle it

Pretty much a direct fit except you'll need to make an "s-bolt" to replace your current hold down bolt which is a bit too short.

My site has information on that...go to this pdf file and scroll about halfway down the page. It's titled 'What is a "s-bolt" and how do I make one?'
http://www.blackshireserver.net/OhioDakotas/pdf/Speedtweaks%20Tips%20And%20Tricks.pdf

Then go here and follow their instructions (it includes all the part numbers you need)...if you buy a K&N filter, go with the E-1065 rather than the E-1070 as the E-1070 is actually slightly too large and much more difficult to fit.

Hey man...nice lookin' Dak yourself! I love my Edelbrock intake, it makes the engine look like it's got balls! I'm actually looking into trading my Dak in for a 4wd V8 and just today as a matter of fact, I was thinking one of the first mods I'll do to it is a chrome intake like my Edelbrock (though it'll be a 14" rather than a 10").
