Third Page has some new pics on it
This is my 1971 Chevrolet Nova. I bought it in Sept. 2004. The first thing I did was replaced the clutch because it was chattering. After that I began disassembly of the front end to replace the body mount bushings which had completely dissintegrated. In the process, I sandblasted my subframe and had to weld patches to fix the rusted away mounting holes. It's a surprise the front end of my car didn't fall off. I painted the frame with POR-15. I also patched up some holes in the floor. I replaced the crankshaft and bearings in my engine because they were all messed up. This all took about 9 months. I finally got the car driveable by sept. 2005, but right now I am still working out the bugs.
Currently the Nova has...
-1978 Chevy 350 (Needs freshening)
-1968? Muncie M20
-10 bolt rearend with 3.73 gears
-Air shocks in the rear
-Lots of Bondo (Though am making steady progress removing it all....look at new pics)
-Rust
-a lot work left to do

Some pics of the painted firewall

The car looked like this for quite some time(It's a little dusty)

I also gave the headers and the engine a quick paintjob just to make things look a little cleaner

I really like the original blue

It has a Hurst shifter thats pretty old and pretty hard to shift.
Some more pics of the front end.

Don't you just love iron oxide...

The ravages of time show their face on this body mount on the subframe. The other 3 mounts looked worse...When I first got the car, the front end would sag so much when you jacked the car up, that you could hardly get the door open.
Here is also where most of my money ends up
These are two Chevy Corvairs. The one on the left is a '65 and is also my daily driver. The white one is a 63 which is a work in progress. Both have air cooled engines.
