Photo as seen in February issue of Car Audio and Electronics under IASCA World Finals. The system that you will see in the next few pics was orginally installed in a 99 VW Golf 4 GL. I recently purchased a silver 2002 VW GTI 1.8T. The system is the same with a few exceptions. Which i'll try to show you very soon.
this is the rear side shot of the hatch. Both of the amplifiers on mounted to a Fiberglass/ wood amplifier rack. The ARC Audio 4150 4 channel amplifier resides on top. With the ARC Audio 2500 on the bottom. Just below the 2500 resides the IMAGE DYNAMICS IDMAX 12 d2. This subwoofer resides in an extremely small enclosure. With the sub mounted it has 1.1ft3 volume. Yes i know, it is kinda small for the idmax, yet the output is phenominal. The bass response is extremely transient.
