On 12/14/02 everything but the seats was stolen out of my Jeep. They ripped the steel on my driver's door and tailgate, messed up the center console, and broke the glove compartment. Two months and a lot of money later it was finished again. Check page 3 for the "before" pictures and page 4 for the "after" pictures.

OnroadGirl's 1997 Jeep TJI'm insanely obsessed with my 1997 Wrangler. I bought it stock and have spent the last few years (and large portions of my paychecks) pumping it up. I live in Colorado so during the summer I spend a lot of time offroading in the Rocky Mountains. I go wheeling A LOT! Check out the list of the places I've been on my TrailDamage.com Member Page. The sticker on my windshield says "Girls Kick Ass" -- ain't that the truth! It has a Teraflex S3T 3" suspension lift with 33" Super Swamper LTB tires (not listed so I picked the closest thing -- I got them late in the season so I don't have too many pictures of them on my Jeep yet). If you're thinking about getting a lift for your TJ, seriously check out Teraflex. Compare their sway bar quick release and the way their control arms function next to the other guys' arms -- you can't go wrong with the S3T! I've been really happy and the disconnects are a snap on the trail (they store nicely for safe keeping too). I also have the Teraflex front adjustable track bar.

I have a Uniden CB and a Firestik FireFly 4-foot antenna that sits over my rear license plate. I also have a tiny Radio Shack external speaker for the CB that cost about $12 and is really loud -- great for when you're on the highway with the top down.

One of the better things I've done for myself is my on board air system. I have a York air compressor that runs right next to the air conditioning (yes, I kept the air conditioning rather than replacing it) off of the same system of belts. I also have a tank under the hood. There is a switch inside, just above my right knee when I'm driving, to turn the system on and off. The air hose attachment point is mounted on my front bumper so I don't have to open the hood to get to it. It pumps up my fat tires faster than the gas station and it's free. It's great!

The tubular bumpers are Smittybilt all the way around -- I've bent the back one many times by whacking the hitch on a mountain (or dropping the Jeep on it if the incline is too steep), but they always get it bent back. They aren't the usual kind of wheeling bumpers but I like them cuz no one else wheels with them, really.

I do some consulting for Bestop so I ride with a lot of their stuff. I have heated TrailMax seats in front with a matching Trailmax rear bench, a few different hard and soft top configurations, and their new Super Soundbar to hold my Infinity Kappa speakers. The Kenwood MP3 head unit keeps me eyebrow-deep in the tunes and hasn't skipped yet. It's the only unit I've seen that displays so much ID3 info all at once (and I've had 4 different MP3 players).

As you can tell, I love the mud! Watery mud, thick mud, doesn't matter as long as it's deep. That last picture was taken at my favorite mud spot in all of Colorado -- the big mud puddle at the end of Switzerland Trail. It got filled in, but it used to be there every summer. It always takes me a few hours to clean up afterwards, but it's worth every minute!

Believe it or not, the picture just above it was taken in Moab, the middle of the desert. The Salt Creek trail follows a river bed, with long stretches of water up to the bumper. It's not nearly as challenging as most of the other Moab trails but it was nice getting muddy instead of sunburned for a change. The one above that only needs a water skier clutching a tow strap!

Check the other pages for external shots and views of my sound system.

Thanks for stopping by my site, sign my Guestbook if you want me to check out your offroad rig!
