Anyone who has a classic corvette from 53-present, please refer to these guys for repro parts. Please keep them original, do not chop, cut, modify, keep them the way they were built, and meant to be remembered in life.
Ecklers Corvette Reproduction

10-23-06 i put the new starter in, it fires up nicely, it also had a ground strap problem, so it wasnt cranking hard enough, but i went back to the store and bought a stock replacement, and now the cranking power is incredible, so yea, for you corvette owners, if you have slow cranking power, check your ground strap

"Old Chevy's never die, they just get faster, and more valuable"

"And also, please remember, dont crush 'em, restore 'em"

Please let me know what you think of my car!

This 1971 Corvette is factory stock with all of its installed options. This car has ablsolutley no aftermarket performance parts, none of that. That is the way to keep a car of this magnitute. This car consists of a 454/365 big block, and a THM-400 M40 code automatic transmission. The car is currently its 36 year old original "skin", the 988 code "Steel Cities Grey" paint. It also consists of power windows, power steering, power vacuumm brakes, heavy duty battery, Fridgidaire air conditioning (new belt will be installed), and all of the other much desired options of the year. This car has been officialy declared a "Fully Loaded" car, it is also as original as it came. The AM/FM stereo radio was replaced with an aftermarket tape deck, but I still have the original radio in a static proof bag in a plastic lock box because of the desired value (to be put back in during restoration). The T-Tops are serial numbers matching. The only thing that doesnt work that I am aware of is the factory alarm, which just needs a new wiring set up, As for the engine, it is a NUMBERS MATCHING CPJ 454/365. The heads match, and the intake matches (with winters stamp). As far as i know the Quadrajet carburetor is original also. The engine will be stripped, primed and painted good ole' chevy orange during body paint. This is a corvette, a real all performance, all balls, no care about safety, no electronics, all fun, all american muscle car.

You've done a great job at keeping everything original, definitely a classic. My uncles got a vette similar in year and don't think he's ever going to part with it. Bought it as a first owner. Don't change anything else. 5*****

Looks great already, but I'm sure it's ready for restoration and that you'll keep it true to its originality. A real prize you have there!

Beautiful, beautiful original `Vette you have there! I love it. You have to love the power of a 454, don't you? I know I do. Love "The Drunkard" too--that has to be a wild ride! Thanks for looking at my car, I appreciate it. Don't worry, they will have to pry that car from my cold dead fingers. I have no intention of ever selling it--and I have had many offers. When my husband and I are dead and gone, we have three kids standing in line for it. Mine is not all original like your, but it is still a classic and I agree with you--we should keep them all out of the crusher. Take care and keep up the good work on your `Vette!
