Well Sometimes you have to cut your loses and take something better!
Through the grape vine I found out about this 1954 Fargo
Pickup.Sittin in a "barn".It belonged to the owner of a local auto wreckers and he just had too many projects on the go, so I took it off his hands.

The Cab is different but Is in Excellent shape compared the 57.

The doors are also in near "mint" shape.I couldn't pass it up.So this truck will be a hybrid.

This one is a short box and the 54's have a classier lookin box, So I'm goin with this frame and box.
Since I just bought a southern front clip for the 57 I wasn't gonna waste that and since dodge used the same front fenders from 54-57.I'm makin it a 54/57 dodge.
The front clip on the 54 Is scrap metal, and is totally unsavable, except for the grille bars and hood
But I'll be usin the 57 hood.

It took less than a min to remove the front clip as it was just held on by gravity.

Came with the rare ash tray!

Shots of the interior.

SO....The only things I'll be using from the orignal 57 Truck I bought are:
Front bumper
Seat
Rear end
Interior trim pieces
Tailgate.
Kinda Sad and depressing.
