The rear suspension had to go.The leaf spring bushing were all wooped.

This is a shot of the Right rear Shackle hanger. It used to be threaded into the eylet of the leafspring.it probally hadn't been greased in 40 years.
The truck sits 2 high for my Taste. So I guess I have no other option but to install Air suspension.

First Step Support Frame and Rear Axel.

Then Cut off U bolts and Hanger Rivits To remove Leaf springs.

Remove Drivshaft, Cut Brake lines ,Ebrake cables and such.

Now with the right know how you dont have to fork out big bucks to make your own Custom Bag suspension. To Replace the Leafsprings I'm making up a new 4 link setup

These Links are actually From a 98 Buick Regal. I picked them up from the wrecking yard for $25 a piece. They're the correct length and the lower link on each side has an adjuster to adjust the pinion angle. This is a mock up of what it will look like.

I did spring for the proper Brackets, I guess I could have made them but its just easier this way.
