The rear suspension had to go.The leaf spring bushing were all wooped.

This is a shot of the Right rear Shackle hanger. It used to be threaded into the eylet of the leafspring.it probally hadn't been greased in 40 years.

The truck sits 2 high for my Taste. So I guess I have no other option but to install Air suspension.

Now with the right know how you dont have to fork out big bucks to make your own Custom Bag suspension. To Replace the Leafsprings I'm making up a new 4 link setup

These Links are actually From a 98 Buick Regal. I picked them up from the wrecking yard for $25 a piece. They're the correct length and the lower link on each side has an adjuster to adjust the pinion angle. This is a mock up of what it will look like.

I did spring for the proper Brackets, I guess I could have made them but its just easier this way.

Great truck. I am working on a '58, been sitting for quite some time now. I could use some help getting contacts for parts, etc. - body, electrical, pretty much everything is needed at this stage. If you (or anyone else) are willing to share info, please email me at johnsone@net1plus.com
Thanks,
Eric.

I was at mopar fest, just not with Christine, longggg story, but someone put metal filings in my motor, so now Im getting ready to pull the motor and tear it down to clean out any metal filings in it. Other than that shes coming along real good, brake lines should be done this week, we got some issues with the wiring to sort out but my dads good at that shit so hell figure it out, that Fargo is sick, looks to be real solid, what are your plans for it? Resto? Hot Rod? Custom? What did you do with the 57? Dont tell me you got rid of it, I really wanted to see that thing, that air bag system your rigging up looks real nice to.

ya we made the floor and door panels. I did find a guy up here youve probably heard of them National Moparts, they had door skins but they were wayyyyy to much money for me, so we made them instead, not a professional job by any means but they look pretty damn good to me. that sounds really interesting what your doin with the air ride I wanna see that for sure. just to keep you up to date with my ride I havnt done jack shit to it since December now cause I got no money, but once I get some money together hopefully in march shell be running
