This is the standard 1.6 Engine before the Turbo install.

The kit used was an old Cartech kit which needed many mods to fit my car as it has power steering and aircon and this kit fitted a car without both.

I had to have a new manifold made for the install which was cast and machined by Begi in the US.

The down pipe needed to be re-welded as it had fallen apart.

I used a Begi intercooler for this install.

Once the manifold was on I found that it was to short and had to have a spacer made to move the Turbo away from the head by 12mm to clear the power steering pump.

Next was drilling and tapping the sump for the oil return, I used a Mocal fitting for this job.

next was fitting the Turbo and making some make do intercooler pipes, these pipes will be re-made once I know where to route them but for the moment it was better to use sillicon joints to get the pipes in the right place.

Once it was all on I had to mod the heat shield to fit.

The new Begi rising rate fuel pressure regulator.

The new LSD.
