Im planing to get it running by summer, and replace some of the plastic inside. The old owner replaced the computer with the wrong computer, thats where im gonna start first, then a paint job.It also has a 2 1/2 inch Ravin exhaust system and headers,2.73 stock gears, MAF conversion

My first car was a 1993 Mustang GT 5.0. I was 15 years old and got to drive it all throughout the state of Kansas. I really experienced a lot of the world with my Mustang 5.0, it really helped me become a good driver beings it was so diccult to drive due to severe oversteer. See, I am what some people call a twinkie and the car was a lot for me to handle. My arms were consistently sore due to the strain it had put on them. Also, the power was just so intense, it was like ohhhhhhh mYyyyyyyyyyyyy Goshhhh. Anyway, the car died at around 50,000 miles due to a all the valves burning up due to a clogged catalytic converter. The Catalytic converter had built up so much hot pressure that it backfired right up into my engine. I guess I could have just rebuilt it but I deded to put in a new Cobra engine from a 1996 model with only 400 miles on it. That engine was only a 4.6, but it felt so much better than the 5.0. Much faster and so much better on hills.

OK, the difference between LX's and GT's, A couple things.. Yes the Body kit being the Major difference. All GT's are V8's and came Standard with the PREMIUM Wheel & Tire Package. LX's Standard Platford threw 87-93 was the FOUR banger. The V8 engine was an added option, along with PREMIUM wheels and Tires. The Factory did makes lots of LX's with V8's & Premium Wheels,..etc but at a cheaper price than the GT. There is NO Engine difference other than the engine timing set by the factory, which can be changed easily, (Twist advance your distributor 2 degree) FORD advanced the Timing in the GT's to be a little more aggresive.. Maybe a 5hp difference. Hope this helps..

SUMMIT RACING.. They have a TrickFlow and A Summit Brand One.. Both are FINE, $139.95, If you get another Brand just make sure it has bearing preload studs that Push Lighty on the Bearings so nothing movers under heavy Launchs..
