In memory of 3VOM 8V. Rear-ended by a twat in a Nissan Patrol 10-07-07 :(

OK, This is my baby. A sleak V8 Soarer with the standard luxury interior. Oh, and a big ass stereo!

She's a work in progress, so no, there ain't no mods under that hood. At the moment I'm trying to get her back to showroom condition. I managed to find two top mechanic/Soarer specialist! Joe, Mobile Master & Phil's Mechanical, Maddington!!

The Stereo
Dunadan's 1992 Toyota Soarer

Fitted By AutoFidelity (I think thats how they spell it), consists of a cluster of 3 CDT EuroSport speakers (CDT ES-4", ES-6.25" + Tweeter), custom molded into each side/front. 2 10" CDT EuroSport thumpers take up the rear, with an Alphasonic amp (1000w RMS @ 4ohms) & 1.2f capacitor. The Eclipse 8051 deck gives 8V pre-out for a quality you don't find in the Doof Doof Commodores you get aroud my way. I have installed a computer into the glovebox(With help from Alberts Cannington), complete with 7" motorised screen in console.
If anyone knows a cost effective way to get my car sensor readouts onto my computer, let me know!

Oh yeh, and dont ever expect to see a crappy Lexus badge on this car. She's 100% Toyota, and that's the way I like it!! :)

Me & 3VOM 8V made our drag debute last night at Fast Friday. I was in the Sports Compact class.
In Qualifying I ran a 15.65 with a 0.6 reaction time(good time, bad reaction time). I was sure that time was all she had, so I dialed-in at 15.65.
First round I faced a riced up lancer, thing broke down or something. Ran a 23sec on a 15.39 dial-in. I backed of for a time of 17sec. Reaction time was still bad at 0.4.
Second round I had to face one of my mates in his TT Soarer. I started first being slower, I got a 0.09 reaction time, and nailed my dial-in with a 15.66!! The other Soarer jumped the start by 0.003, unlucky.
Third round I got a solo pass :) got a slow 15.92 but a good reaction of 0.08.
Final round I faced the master, mister consistency Luke Nieuwhof in his TT Soarer. Again I start first cos I got the slower V8. I nailed the start with a 0.05 reaction time!! Luke got a 0.1 which is still very good. Just before the line I panicked and stepped off the gas, just thought "shit if I'm in front I must be about to break out of my dial-in". Big mistake, Luke came flying past at 20km/h faster. Thankfully that was just after the line!!!!
I was well within my dial-in with a 15.76.

3VOM 8V WINS!!

My first meet and I came home with the trophy!!

I didn't have anyone there with a camera, so these are the only photos I got. (taken this morning)

Ok Finally got some pics of the in-car computer.
Big thanks to Alberts Cannington, who installed my monitor.
System works sweet!! Full PC with 7" Motorised Screen, Dual layer DVD burner, GPS Sat Nav, 80Gb Hdd and fancy wireless touchpad keyboard.
