Page 7 for the year 2007
It might be a disappointing year.
My overtime hours have been cut to zero.
That means money is really tight.
April 18, 2007
My first outing of the year.
Went to KCIR -- temps between 78* & 63*--
Wed. night grudge races 6 pm to 10 pm--
No changes have been made to the car this year
And my times were a bit slower than the last
days of 2006.
I was about 2 tenths of second slower & couldn't
break into the triple digits.

The only good news was that after several 13 second passes,
my neighbor took his Kenny Bell supercharged 1999 Mustang GT to a new best of 12.88

I got lucky & picked up replacement parts on
EBAY to fix the leak in my factory oil cooler
coolant line. The original was completely rusted.
Went to KCIR and it was real hot out.
-- temps between 95* & 82*--
Fri. night grudge races 6 pm to 10 pm--
No other changes have been made to the car this year
And my times were quite a bit slower than the last
days of 2006.
I was almost 4 tenths of second slower & couldn't
come close to triple digits.

Using a horsepower calculator,
I was making between 316 & 320 hp @ the crank
and between 268 & 272 hp @ the rear wheels.
That's a bit higher than last falls dyno run
of 239 rwhp & 345 rwtq.

My neighbor with the 1999 Kenny Bell super charged Mustang
wanted to celebrate his B-day by driving the 3.5 hours to
KCIR for a little Wednesday night grudge racing.
His 13 sec. passes were too much for my tired old B4C.
The car is still running slower than it did last year.
Well this past summer my starter went out.
I could only afford a remanufactured stock replacement.
I also replaced the leaking wore out rear shocks & original factory springs
with a pair of Bilsteins & some Moog CC635's.

Well my 15 year old son was out of school for the day, so
we took the 3.5 hour trip to KCIR for the last Friday
night street/grudge race for the year.
They got a little rain before we arrived & the sky was
cloudy & the temps were cold. I got to make more passes
than most. Just got lucky that way. but couldn't make
it back to 100 mph like last year.
I have got to save some cash for a torque converter or something
next year to go a little faster.
