I recently purchased a 2000 Nautica Blue V70 XC SE with the 2.4 turbo engine . i will be modifying the car in the near future and am looking for any advice from fellow volvo enthusiasts in regards to how to obtain 250-260HP with my car. i hope to add the following: 1-performance chip, dual exhausts, air filter, downpipe 2-window tint, new grille, R emblem 3-DVD player with twin televisions in the headrests.i am aware of ipd, bsr and rica products. however, it seems that many of you have used different modification products and companies. i would greatly appreciate any information about products along with the companies names that could help me in upgrading my car. from looking at the V70's on this site i see that many people have done exceptional work on their cars

ok first off with a budget of 2500 i was only able to get my XC to 251 BHP the first thing you need to do is et the motronic ecu upgrade from ipdusa.com, without that you will throw a check engine every time you drive it. i work for nalley volvo in atlanta and i know my stuff. keep in mind that if you change anything that significantly increases flow of any element you lose our warranty. i would go with a K&N drop in filter, and a upgraded exhaust, i chose magna flow, but anything decent will work. DO NOT CHANGE THE CAT you will void your warranty! contact me if you have a question. Lance

260hp is a pretty easy goal. In fact you can probably do it for under 2k. I would start with a chip. Get something like speedtuning if your on a budget. Then throw in a stainless downpipe and exhaust and you should be at your goal.
