In 1983 the Caprice Coupe was being redesigned and
returned in the 1984 model year. For 84, only the Caprice
Classic trim was available for the Coupes and Wagons, but
the overall outside appearance was unchanged from the
previous generation. Technological changes allowed the
wiper/washer controls to be moved from the dash to the
turn signal lever and the optional cruise control gained
incremental acceleration/deceleration. This allowed for
speed changes up and down 1 MPH at a time.
