By far the most dramatic changes to my system happened in the cargo area. Although I was very pleased with the performace of the US Amps, I knew that the system still had some untapped potential....and I was ready to try something else.

I really wanted to try class A amps on the horns. After literally months of searching I came across a pair of monoblock class A amps from a now out of business company; Poweramper. These would replace the usa-200.

Next, I wanted more power on the subs. I found an absolutely insane price on a JBL a3000gti. Rated almost exactly the same as the US de-3000, but you wouldn't believe how much more powerful this amp sounds.

I was actually going to keep the usa-1000 in the new install. I ran it and the Poweramper's for a long time while I debated on how to fit the JBL sub amp.

Then I started to wonder how much better the 8's would sound with a dual mono setup. For months, everything I looked at was either too large, too expensive, or too hard to get. Finally, I settled on a pair on Rockford's very compact P300-1 class A/B monoblocks. Less power than the usa-1000, but I figured having a monoblock on every front stage driver would improve my imaging/staging making it a fair trade. These things have been a pleasant surprise!

Ezra, I just picked up a used Carbon Fiber Hood and I need your help Asap. I am trying to figure out how you reuse your stock latch. The previous owner used hoodpin, and I def do not want to go that direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Your ride looks great!
