Well, it's been quite some time since I've updated this page. A few things have changed over the last couple of years, so I figured I'd share.

Up front I swapped out the Phoenix Gold ti9's for a set of Illusion Audio nd8's. They have much better upper midrange, sensitivity, and they match my Illusion horns. The kickpanels were rebuilt to consume much less foot space which meant open backed instead of sealed. I also focused on getting them as high and far outward as possible for the best stage height and width.

ritous1's 1999 Chevrolet Astro just after being wrapped, the discoloration is from glue overspray.

Here's the old kicks for size comparison

I'll have to add more pics to show the modifications to the area behind each panel. Metal was cut to achieve more of an infinite baffle. dynamat extreme, 1" thick open cell foam, expanding foam, and polyfill were all used to control resonance and backwave distortion.

The other major change from the last set of kicks was that these were molded directly to the sheet metal where as before I laid them over the stock kick panels. This allowed me to move the horns out another two inches on either side effectly extending the soundstage width. I also molded the kicks right up to the mounting flange of the horns for a very clean look and who knows maybe even better sound?

Notice how much better the fit and integration are; you can also see that I filled in the gap between the passenger kick and dash with some 1/4" plexi cut to shape and frosted. This is not only cosmetic but aids soundwaves from the horn in coupling to the dash.

I just need to replace those dirty mats and the front will be done!

Love that grill, I have a similar wing on my van. Where did you get that wing?

Ezra, I just picked up a used Carbon Fiber Hood and I need your help Asap. I am trying to figure out how you reuse your stock latch. The previous owner used hoodpin, and I def do not want to go that direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Your ride looks great!
