kurtispaine's 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution

This is my 2006 Evo 9 in the showroom I got it from. I'm a new Evo owner so if anyone has any helpful hints or suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated. Would also be interested in joining a club if there's anyone in the Seattle/Tacoma are that want me.

also might want to have the exuast and DP installed at an exhaust shop...some DP's have problems rubbing up against the transfer case, i had to have some custom stuff done by my friends exhaust shop to make it fit without rubbing yet not mess with my back pressure...also had to bend the hangers a little!

what kind of upgrades you want first depends on what your gonna do with it....bolt ons are always best for starters, downpipe[be sure to wrap with exhaust wrap], exhaust, intake, and also a spacer for your o2 sensor which you can do home depot special[like i did] or some places make them as well or you will get a check engine light. anything more than that really depends on what you are aiming for as far as modding it...me i track my car so everything must be proportionate....suspension, braking, performance...and some things need to come first more so than others so think about what you are going to do....good luck...you picked a good year - MIVEC! and metal BOV's so no need for aftermarket!

But, yeah, at evolutionm.net you can look at all of the forums posted, everything you need to know is there. as far as upgrades, it all depends what kind of horsepower you are looking for. If you want less than 350whp, stick with the piggyback or flash, if you want over that, you'll need a stand-alone like an EMS or Power FC.

The best set-up for you is the set-up i listed before of bolt-ons, and then you need to choose either the Stand alone or the flash. If you are going to upgrade in the future and possibly even a larger turbo, get the stand alone, if you are just going to keep it at the bolt ons...(about 300 whp) then just get a flash or a SAFC-II. keep me posted on your mod upgrades!
