1988 SAAB 900T
Paint:
"Ancient Bronze" Pearl - Looks like candy apple olive green in average light the sun pulls more of the gold/bronze out, over cast days and dusk makes the car look deep military green almost black. At night it is black. Oh, Please don't think this is one of those cheesy camel ion colors....it's not!
Body:
The factory "Air Flow" bumpers were bought brand new still in the factory box!! I have the original "airflow" badge as well as factory installation booklet. The SPG Panels came from a fully loaded SPG which I found sleeping in a muddy puddle in a junk yard one beautifully rainy day!! I walked out of there with a ton of goodies off that car. It was someones pride and joy at one time I could tell.....by the 8 gauge console panel!!
I welded all of the trim holes, moved the battery to the trunk and added a cut-off switch with an extra volt gauge, moved the marker light down (...don't ask why), filled the hood badge sink, and prepped the car for paint. First painted the car black, then add the color over the black, then 5 fatty coats of clear!
Engine:
Replaced the original 88 motor (at 215k) with a fresh 91 motor which was taken apart, resealed, new clutch, and minimal modifications.
Interior:
Ripped out the tan (ugly pink sun bleached....) and added a custom black and burnt orange interior with sparco racing seats which have since been sold last year.....now I'm piecing together a burgundy interior. I have the rear seat and...oh my god yes....a burgundy HARD BOOT cover for the top! Super rare!!
I still need the convertible interior door panels & F seats 5/08
I CURRENTLY STILL OWN THIS CAR - (it lives in Bucks county PA)
