short video of the coronet after some repairs

Not much done on the coronet in the last year i have been working on my Valiant. I will hopefully be getting back to the coronet by spring time and hopefully be getting it ready for paint.
Here are some pics of my 1968 Dodge Coronet 440,I bought the car in 1998 for 700.00.I drove it for a month or two and i killed the tired original 318.So i rebuilt a new 318 balanced the lower end bored 30 over had new set of heads built by indy and used the edelbrock performer package to keep it solid on the street. The car is a driver it is not a racer i use it to commute 50 miles a day so i kept the 273 gears out back and it drives like a champ on the highway.I put a new dual 2.5 exhaust with headman headers, h pipe and magnaflow mufflers. The front end was rebuilt when motor was out and new h/d leaf springs stock ones were pretty shot, it has an msd 6a and a mopar electonic distributor, battery was moved to the trunk to clean up engine bay.

This is how the car is today still no paint, Hope fully by next year it will have paint i still need to do some more welding on the passenger lower door the trunk lid and the drivers rocker panel.I dont drive it very much in the winter even if the weather is always nice here in california, plus i usually only get in the mood maybe 2 out of the 365 days to do bodywork so it will probably never get done unless i win the lotto.

Here is a pic of car after i took off all trim and welded up the holes and primered it grey and added the american racing wheels and new bfg's 225 60 15 up front and 275 60 15 out back

I decided i wanted to make a six pack clone since i cant afford a real one so i bought a new hood from unlimited.

A few older pics of my coronet and a friends 68 dart the dart had a 440 scary car. Pics before the sixpack hoo and the rims and tires from my charger. I Micky thompson L60-15's in the back. A little to big for the coronet they wood rub if i hit a big bump. So i went back to the 275/60/15 bfg's.

I had to repair rust that was on the lower rear quarters so i took it to work and replaced the metal. Im learning the bodywork stuff as i go and i hate it i wish i had the money to just pay someone to do it.But for now i have to do it myself.

Hi John, Thanks for checkin-out my Super Bee. I totally love the old Mopars. One of my best friends had a 68 Super Bee when we were in High School, -- loved that car. Your Coronet rocks, they are getting hard to find and expensive when you do find one. Keep up the good work and check back from time to time. I'm way overdue for an update on mine, may do it today. Happy driving dude - 5*****

American muscle. Its awesome to see some good old Detroit iron out terrorizing the streets. Keep up the good work! What color are you going to paint her?
