well i can see after the nice first comment, that prompted me to look around... that i need to explain the obvious to those very few that do not have the good sense god give a grasshopper. i only started here cause it said free and EASY. i dont know nothin about the internet or pc,s. so please bear with me. my truck is a dual purpose vehicle. as in work/play.
to me..at least in my opinion.
if you cant go to the quarry and get a load of stone or dirt dumped in it, toss tools in it, lean on it when it is dirty....or get it dirty for that matter, throw 7 square of shingles, or drive it across a field or two track that is thick with brush while out hunting.....psssst....got a clue for ya...its a car or a queen. and i like show rides..but i can not afford to have a show and a go 4x4...sorry.
i got a truck. and it looks like what it is. about 18 years of manly truck work and michigan winters, been rolled twice on seperate occasions and gets flopped every chance i get to go on trail adventures..it has been poor boy built in most cases to serve the needs of me, its owner. i have 5 kids so i tend to go for function first. it has on board air, more engine, more transmission, more transfer case and bigger swapped in axles, along with a winch, custom suspension and other cheap home tricks for traction. and i use all of these mods, and with them it serves its purpose flawlessly. sorry for uglying up this site but i want to post pics on websites elsewhere and share hard earned knowledge and ideas online..
and a huge thanks to those that understand.
emily..my 11 year old is workin er out after some tranny repair. she had to take it easy and try not to get stuck cause i did not put the front shaft in at the moment...thankfully so too, cause i am going to have to pull it back out again for a full rehash...

UPDATE??
here is a more recent pic...6/08. madisyn is the new 11 year old operator....he he..got two more behind her. my how time flies...the rig currently rides on one tons. i run 33's street and from 35-44 inch tires depending on the terrain we are to play on. the plans are 6.5 diesel conversion to get operating costs to affordable. with some luck i will rework the page to reflect current status before winter 08
