This is my ride, a 1956 Cadillac Sedan DeVille which has been FACTORY MODIFIED on the rear.It has '56 Eldorado extended fins, along with a continental kit.Apparently the original owner (a funeral home) had GM send the car to get modified at a place which does limos, hearses, etc. before getting it delivered.

When I first saw this car last year,in '04, it was pretty rough. But it's style blew me away! I owned a '55 Olds' 88 at the time, and traded it for the Caddy.
This is what it looked like when I first saw it.
I then proceeded to restore the car with the help of some friends. Restoration took 6 months! I was itchin' to get her on the road.I added '59 Caddy taillights to enhance it's "Rocket" styled rear, and had some pin-striping also done.It has the original 365 V8 with heads from a '58 Caddy. It has dual exhaust with Glasspack mufflers. Sounds sweet!
I'm a founding member of a local car club called the GLASSPACKs. We're 10 members right now. We're into the old school traditional Hot Rods and kustoms.
Anyway, I love this car. It handles like a dream and attracts lots of attention wherever it goes. Elvis would be proud!

The interior is original black and white leather and cloth. It only has a few rips on the drivers' seat.
This car was last on the road in '72 before I bought it. The seller claims Queen Elizabeth II sat in this car in the '60's. I doubt it, but you never know. I'd have to research this.

It's a thrill going to the Drive-in movies with the Caddy. Here we were at the "56 Drive-in" with our '56 Caddy on the 4th of July,'05.
Dig those fins!!
The engine has more HP due to the '58 heads added. Car runs strong!

These two pics were taken at the Road Agents' Hot Rod & Rockabilly Rumble in Hartford, CT,in July'05. That's my buddy's '51 chopped Hudson next to my Caddy, which had its pinstriping freshly done!
Cheers!!
More Pics to come soon!
