    Another JohnzmonteSS 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo post...
    My 1987 Monte Carlo SS. Its the color combo i've always wanted, Black exterior with grey interior. This is my 5th MC SS I have owned. Its stock for now. I bought it to work on and to build it my way. At sometime I will get rid of the 305 and add a 350. I'm going to keep the 2004-r tranny, and i'm keeping a eye out for a 8.5 rear-end. Here are some pics of when I purchased the car. Here is a pic of my daily driver, 1997 Cutlass Supreme, with the almighty 3.1. Im in the process of installing my Hurst Lightning Rod shifter! Here are some pics. I also purchased some Moog front end parts, and an Edelbrock carb and intake. Also a HEI distributor. I removed all the emissions and comp to clean up engine bay.

    I have finished the Lightning Rods install. I added some guages to my A-pillar guage pod, a trans temp and a air/fuel mixture. The interior is done for now. I have started taking the front end apart to redue everything. I'm already collecting Moog parts. Well I finally got a cherry picker, and I removed the engine and tranny. I took the body off, took me all day to do it by myself. Here are some pics. I have collected everything I need to do the chassis. I have Eibach springs, new shocks, energy suspension front and rear control arm bushings, body mounts, sway-bar endlinks. Moog balljoints, tie-rods, adjustment sleeves, center-link, idler-arm. Well I started on the frame as you can see. I think it turned out good so far.
