UPDATE (31 Jul. 2006): In case anyone's been keeping up with my Civic, I apologize for the lack of updates. I've been in the process of selling my house and it's taken up much of my time and money. But I've found room in the budget for some upgrades to Greta. They're not much, but they're good.

My current poll has one lone participant, but their advice is good. I think I will install clear headlight lenses instead of projectors. I considered leaving it stock, but the more subtle the exterior upgrades, the safer my car is from theft and/or vandalism. And the clear lenses will hopefully still allow the PIAAs to really pop. However, if anyone still wants to vote and convince me otherwise, I welcome it.

I bought this '94 Civic EX (with a 5-speed, of course) back in October and am looking forward to making it special. I have made a few small modifications, which you will see in the coming pages. This is the car as it looks right now on the outside:

I finally decided, with the help of you CarDomain members out there, to go with a lip spoiler and side skirt kit. I was toying with the idea of a Wings West set, but the price was too much for poor me. JDMShit provided me (for a nominal fee, of course) with a nice looking Mugen-style kit. I obviously have not installed them, but I'm waiting to have the car painted. I think it would look better to have these pieces match the color of the car. Their just ABS plastic, not carbon fiber, so they should be painted I think.

Also, I have purchased and installed new tail lenses. I think the clear/red look is nice. I decided to not go with the Euro-style clear lenses because I think it's hard to find ones where the chrome reflectors on the inside are not cheap-looking. Besides, it gives it a JDM-like, mostly stock look, which is what I'm after anyway. Still, I am going to try LED lamps, and I think the clear lenses would be better for that. We'll see. Here is a shot of the tail lenses:

There is a bit of damage to the rear bumper cover on the driver's side. It looks as if Wolverine got a hold of it. I will definitely have to find a replacement one of those before paint is shot on it. In addition to all the above mods, I would like to find chrome Civic and EX emblems to adorn the back instead of that silly antiquated decal on the trunk lid. Maybe Ebay will have some.

That about covers it, at least what I can think of. I invite you to check back periodically and see how my Civic is doing! I hope you like what she's gonna become! Thanks for visiting my page here at cardomain.com! I look forward to seeing all of your pages and hopefully making friends while I'm at it!

thanks for the comments. you have a nice car, lots of potential. I have a problem with the way you talk about what you want to do with your car though. you want nice things but you are buying according to price and not what you want. so what if you have to save up for a little while longer. don't settle. get the best. the headunit that i have on my page, costs $1000. i could have went out and got a $40 cd player from electronic express but i have higher standards and dreams. you see what i'm saying. keep up the good work. keep me posted on updates. oh, and i not enrolled at MTSU, it's just a SN.

Thanks for checking out my classic van and for you comments. Always be proud to be an American. That is the bottom line. I noticed you said that you were thinking of staying with the cleaner lines and I think that you should but if you do go with the kit it will still look great. I am not much on wings but the right one could look good. Keep me updated on any future mods and keep shaking those veterans hands. They deserve our respect.
