Corolla History
I purchased my 2003 Corolla in the summer of 2002. I wanted something that was semi hooked up "looking," but also economical.
I liked the stock body kit on the Rolla, it was a pretty sharp car for a granny mobilelol.
I slowly started to modify her, adding euro tail lights (if you can call that a mod), then a 2 drop (TRD springs) and added the 18 TRD rims riding on Yokohamas. I would have to admit, the rims and drop made the car look like a whole new car.
The next modification is my passion, car audio. I added a whole new system, and decided to upgrade that as time went on.
I started searching for car clubs in the Baltimore area to meet enthusiasts like me, and hang out and talk car talk. Thats when I found Sudden Impact. SI is now my family, and we enjoy attending car shows together.
I decided to visit NOPI Nationals in Atlanta with SI President Doug Sexton. Doug, Jen (my fianc), and I, drove to NOPI. It was all down hill from there. I decided I needed to step my game up in order to compete with the big dawgs, and trust you me, I still have a long way to go.
After returning to MD from the NOPI trip the car went into the shop, installed the body kit, M3 mirrors, etc. (see modification list) I decided instead of painting the car the stock blue, lets do a little something with airbrush. Which I do admit, the way the car is now is not the way I wanted it. However, it grew on me, and I have to say its different, and I like it. I never did understand why someone would put flames on an import, but we will leave that conversation for another topiclol.
So, heres where I stand. The car is a work in progress, and I will continue to change things around just to make my Rolla unique from the rest.
Special Thank You To: My wife Jen and daughter Jazmene for letting me take the time out to fix up the Rolla, and for letting me spend the $$$ I spend on it...lol.
Thank you to Doug and Amy Sexton, and Bernie Hirsch for installing the body kit, interior and many other mods. They have helped me get where I am today.
Thank you to my good friend Arnie Lautt for the initial design of the floating amps.
Thank you to Chris Pearre for helping me with the electrical mess. Chris has helped me wire-up miles of wires!!!
Thank you everyone at Cardomain for supporting me and voting for me!!
