More pics to come in the spring when I can roll it back out the barn (without getting stuck, unlike last week).
After a partial summer on the car I can comment on a few things about a FI'd Miata:
* Power in a Miata is a beautiful thing.
* It starts to run hot on long climbs into the hills. I assume it's a fuel issue, and will be correcting that this summer. If that doesn't do the trick I'll opt for a new radiator.
* despite my best efforts to have a system that develops boost at a lower RPM it just didn't work out. It's a very "peaky" engine power comes on like a hammer at 4K rpm, but below that the car just feels a little better than stock. I'm curious to see just what it looks like on a dyno.
* Once the fuel issue is sorted out I'll book some dyno time. I should be able to increase boost to 8lbs without much difficulty and I expect it should be hitting somewhere between 170 and 190 hp.
* It handles like it's on rails, but the Racing Beat srings really beat the hell out of you. I'm going to pick-up some progressive rate springs and coil-overs sometime in the near future. But right now the fuel issue is to on my list.
