About me...
I've been working on cars since I was 15 and my first mod was to my first car a 85 Ford Escort and it was proping open the airbox to get the loud intake sound. Don't laugh back then there were no intakes to speak of.

A few beaters later I bought a used '91' Sentra SE-R and let me tell you that little car moved out 140HP stock with a intake and gutted cat and I was flying around town.

Next step was a brand new '94' Civic EX coupe and I spared no expense on that car. Xenon kit, Momo Quasar rims, lowered with every bolt on you could do without opening up the bottom end. Very fun and definately got lots of complements on looks but no one knew about engine swaps then and I was so interested in Bass I was carting around 350lbs of Boom which wasn't helping my E.T.'s. At this time I joined a local car club called Type-R racing out of Virginia and thats when racing really started to run my life.

Next car was a new 95 Integra GS-R, Now were talking. With just RS-R headers, Straight-pipe, RS-R Catback, Intake, Cam-gears, Fuel Pressure regulator, and slicks I was running 13.6's in the 1/4. I was winning my class at big events with cash, trophies, and parts. I was hooked for sure. The Integra ended up stolen/totalled so it was time to go faster.

A '92' Civic HB with B18C1 swap fully built with Carrillo H-beam rods, Custom cut JE pistons, DPR Head with clover leaf compression chambers, running 11 to 1 compression plus all the bolt-on goods. Put it this way only 2 of my friends would even ride in that car with me it was sick. Others tried it once and it was usually followed up with a your F'in sick and that cars ridiculous. I LOVED IT!!! I had moved to Florida at that time and seperated from the Club so I never did get to the track to E.T. it but all my street races and my butt dyno told me it was a low-mid 12 sec. car. After blowing the Motor (builders fault) I put a stocker in it to get to work and someone stole it(This is getting old) Sold the engine and in search of Faster things I came across my next facination, TURBO.

I bought a '97' Talon AWD from some friends at EXTREME Motorsports in Maryland that was already modded in the 12.6's. Of course that wasn't fast enough so I put on a Frankenstein level 4 turbo, APEXi front mount, PMS standalone, and lots of other goodies. I got one word, OUCH!!! This car actually hurt when you launched it and it took skill to drive. I was winning EVERY race on the street. I was even beating some bikes with it and no I'm not lying, straight up races from the stop not that I got the jump crap. A word of advice for anybody running 20Psi and a ACT 2600 unsprung 4-puck clutch. Be prepared to break lots of stuff. 2-bottom ends (not boost related)2-transfer cases, 2-3rd gears assy. and much more. The only good thing about doing all your own work is you get real good at tearing down a tranny and having gears pressed and re-assembly in the same day. I was a DSM wiz. A few years and alot of money later I got rid of Talon and now the Turbo bug bit.

I was one of the first to get the '03' WRX. What a turd compared to what I was used to but I had BIG plans. All of which were ended after 14,200 miles when I shattered 2nd gear pulling in my neighborhood. Mods at that time were intake, up-pipe, and 5-zigen catback. Did I shift hard? YES! Should a almost stock car with stock clutch been able to break the gear? NO. Subaru of America denied my warranty coverage and I walked away from car since I was having finacial issues at the time anyway.

After all this my current ride is the very family oriented Nissan Maxima. While I did at least get the 227HP Aniversary Edition it's still no AWD turbo. I'm not bashing the car it is lots of fun. My current family is the Maxima.org forum group and this car has a pretty serious following. The VQ30 series engines have been around for years and it's definately a bulletproof setup. I only plan on a few more bolt-ons since I'm already eyeing out my next ride.

I have been bitten by the turbo bug agian. If all goes well by Jan. 06 I should be the proud owner of a EVO RS. Anyway enough about me as you can tell I love cars like the rest of you.

UPDATE: Baby arrived in October so it looks like EVO purchase is off till April/May. Keep you posted...
