Alright :) Now that the dash is just about done, I decided my Alpine CDA-7878 head unit needed to go to blue as well. The problem was the size of the LED's... 1.0mm long by 0.5mm wide!! Tiny little suckers... anyway, I finally found a company that made them small enough (Kingbright), and ordered a bunch of them. It took a magnifying glass and a filed down soldering tip to do the work, but I feel it was well worth it. The following pictures should take you through the process and just about explain themselves.
And there it is :) A blue lit up Alpine HU!
