Here is a step-by-step picture guide of installing a pair of Illusion Audio ND8's in doors to include sound deadening.

Here is the door beforehand, and from the interior it looks exactly the same after the install:

After removing the door panel, this is what we are faced with:

Next step is to remove the plastic sheeting and the factory speaker:

Now we begin with sound deadening. For the doors "Peal and Seal" was used. It can be purchased at Lowes or Home Depot in the roofing section. It comes in a 25 foot long roll that is 6 inches wide for about $13. Cuts easily with a razor blade, is aluminum backed, is easy to mold, and sticks very well. I used a total of 3 rolls on the two front doors combined.

First step is the inside of the outer metal:

Next the inside of the inner metal skin. Notice how the black sticky side is showing through the holes in the door. This is done to seal off the door as best as possible thus turning the entire door into a pseudo-box for the ND8's:

Now a final layer is applied to the outside of the inner metal skin (the side facing the interior of the car):

Next the MDF baffle rings are mounted to the vehicle using bolts and hex nuts:

After the speaker wires are attached to the ND8's, the ND8's are securely mounted to the MDF baffles using wood screws:

Last, I added a layer of carpet pad (same stuff under your carpet in your house) to the inside of the door. I used spray adhesive to attach it, and trimmed it to fit the door. Also, I added a small amount of peal-and-seal to the bottom of each switch area for the doors and where the switch area contacts the plastic door panel. This has completely eliminated all door rattle even when the ND8's are receiving a signal down to 20hz at full volume playing dance music.
