This is my 1988 Ford Mustang GT purchased new in 09/87 and owned by me ever since. It has truly been a labor of luv for me. Still has the original paint and has about 50000 original miles. I feel that the vehicle has TOO much power. You really have to baby this thing or you will be all over the street. Very easy to spin the tires off the line despite having the biggest 17" tires that I could stuff in the stock wheel well.
My goal in this build was to retain the stock Ford look (Sleeper Look) because the 1988 Mustang GT is a really nice looking ride as is. It does not need tacky stickers, big rear wings, or hood scoops to achieve that goal. Nice clean lines. Like they say- Sometimes less is more!
It would really be great if I re-installed the exterior fog lamps and the A/C!!!!. I also would like to switch out the flowmaster 2 chambers for 3 chamber units for a quieter ride.
I kept the exterior looking factory stock and dumped the tacky rear brake lenses for the cleaner LX items. Really makes the rear look nice and clean. Dont'ca think?
